Last Day of College... at least for now

Its amazing when you sit back and think about the time you put forth to accomplish your dreams and goals. Well today I fulfilled one of mine! Today I attended my last final which completes my Bachelors degree of Science in Marketing! Fall of 2004 I couldn't see the end of the tunnel and now I can see that it went by so fast!
I titled my Blog Hindsight is 20/20 because I feel that there are so many things that I learn daily that I feel if I only knew what the end would have been like there would have been things I would have changed.
Today my Hindsight is Group Projects! How many times have each of us had the opportunity to be in a group, and you were assigned the group over 3 months ago, yet the last day you are at the ELC (computer lab) putting the project together that you will be presenting at 1:00 pm. Yes this was me today. I always have good intentions of doing the work all along and not having a cram session. But despite the fact I say I will never procrastinate that way again... it still happens. The presentation was for my advertising class- that I loved by the way! As a class we chose an industry (beverage) and then a product from that industry (Amp, energy drinks). The class was broken up into 5 groups and we each presented our Integrated Marketing Campaign. I am happy to say, WE WON! Our group Lisa, Jestin, Emily, and myself put forth a lot of work and it showed.

.. So now here is my top 5 of my 20/20 on group projects!
1-Find out the strengthsof your group in advance.
2-Give out assignments early.
3- Meet/discuss project each week
4-Resolve disagreements early... so you don't get frustrated, I find frustrations come from our inability to communicate
5-Make sure you are productive

Had we done these 5 things we wouldn't have been rushing, and our timing on our presentation would have been right on and we wouldn't have left things out.
